New Astrological Signs 2011 – Zodiac Signs Changed – Mwza.com

Millions of people woke up this morning to find out that their world has drastically changed and that they can no longer blame their personalities, their luck and their mood swings on their zodiac signs. Your date of birth may not have changed – but your zodiac sign just did.

According to Minnesota Planetarium Society board member Parke Kunkle the signs of the zodiac have changed because the gravitational force of the Moon has managed to tilt the planet’s axis a bit since the Babylonians determined the dates of the Zodiac five thousand years ago.

Today we have also learned that not only the way you read horoscope has changed – we have also discovered that there may be a 13th Zodiac sign called Ophiuchus.

Thanks to those new findings, you are strongly advised to remove your Capricorn tattoo – as it turned out you might actually be a Sagittarius. The next time you open a news paper and want to read your daily horoscope take the following information into consideration:Capricorn: Jan. 20 – Feb. 16Aquarius: Feb. 16 – March 11Pisces: March 11- April 18Aries: April 18 – May 13Taurus: May 13 – June 21Gemini: June 21 – July 20Cancer: July 20 – Aug. 10Leo: Aug. 10 – Sept. 16Virgo: Sept. 16 – Oct. 30Libra: Oct. 30 – Nov. 23Scorpio: Nov. 23 – Nov. 29Ophiuchus: Nov. 29 – Dec. 17Sagittarius: Dec. 17 – Jan. 20

Update:Let us be clear, Parke Kunkle’s discovery only addresses sidereal zodiac, that is based on constellations- therefore this change only concerns people in the East. Westerners adhere to tropical zodiac that is fixed to seasons (equinox to equinox). In conclusion, your zodiac sign has not changed.

Jets coach Rex Ryan: Foot-fetish report is ‘personal matter’ – SportingNews.com

New York Jets coach Rex Ryan called an Internet report that alleges his wife, Michelle, appeared in and posted foot-fetish videos a “personal matter.”

Deadspin.com posted several videos showing a woman that resembles Michelle Ryan showing off her feet. In one video, the cameraman talking to the woman sounds like Rex Ryan, according to the website. Deadspin reports there is other evidence that could link the Ryans to the videos, including a location (Ellicott City, Md.) listed on a foot fetish site that is the same location as where the Ryans lived when Rex was the Baltimore Ravens’ defensive coordinator.

Jets coach Rex Ryan: Foot-fetish report is 'personal matter'New York Jets coach Rex Ryan called an Internet report that alleges his wife, Michelle, appeared in and posted foot-fetish videos a “personal matter.”

The New York Daily News printed a screen capture from one of the foot-fetish videos on its front page Wednesday.

The Jets issued a statement, per the Daily News: “This is a personal matter and Rex will have no comment.” Rex is scheduled to meet with the New York media Wednesday afternoon.

This is not the first off-the-field incident the Jets have had to worry about this season. The NFL is investigating two separate cases; one in which strength and conditioning coach Sal Alosi tripped a Dolphins player during a game and another in which a female TV reporter allegedly was harassed by players at a Jets practice.

Winter Solstice 2010 Coincides with Lunar Eclipse 2010 – City State Times

Written by: David Shenbrood. and posted under Science on December 20, 2010 at 8:49 am |

Four astronomical events will be happening on December 21 and that means we have a lot to see in the sky during this day. Dec. 21 will be a full moon and it will also be the annual Winter Solstice. The astronomical spectacle does not end there because parts of the Northern and Southern Hemisphere will be seeing a total lunar eclipse and others might just be lucky to see the Ursids meteor shower.

The Ursids meteor shower is rarely seen due to the fact that compared to other meteor showers this one is less bright, however, due to the total lunar eclipse happening that day it will be a chance to see it.  The Ursids meteor shower begins December 17 and will end until December 26. If you want to see it then try to focus your attention near the star Beta Ursae Minoris (Kochab) in the constellation Ursa Minor.

Meanwhile, the 2010 total lunar eclipse will be visible on most of eastern Asia, Australia, the Pacific Ocean, the Americas, and Europe. After midnight people in North and South America will also have the opportunity to catch the eclipse. For a time frame and location of the visibility of the total lunar eclipse 2010 then click here.

What is the significance of Winter Solstice 2010 in our daily lives? Well coincidentally besides the fact that we have a varietu of astronomical events on this day, Winter Solstice 2010 is the shortest day of the year since it will be a day where the sun will appear for the least amount of time. We will also be experiencing a sort of “dark day” since the tilt of the planet and shape of the orbit around the sun will produce that effect.

Don’t miss Winter Solstice 2010 which comes with a full moon, total lunar eclipse and the Ursids meteor shower.

Ford F-150 SVT Raptor Supercab Snags Award; New Supercrew Headed To Dealers … – Autochannel (press release)

F-150 SVT Raptor raised the bar for high-speed off-road performance trucks by adding a SuperCrew option and more standard power and towing capability for 2011. More than 2,700 orders have been placed for Raptor with the SuperCrew option

SEE ALSO: Ford Buyers Guide

LOS ANGELES – December 9, 2010: The 2010 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor has been awarded Pickup Truck of the Year by Four Wheeler magazine. This is the 10th award for the off-road performance truck that has been a huge hit since its debut last year.

“Ford’s Special Vehicle Team is immensely proud of this coveted award and is excited to bring the 2011 F-150 Raptor SuperCrew to market,” said Jost Capito, director of Global Performance Vehicles and Motorsports Business Development.

Vehicles were judged during a rigorous weeklong 1,000-mile competition in Southern California. Testing included environments such as mountain trails, desert sand dunes, stream crossings and Interstates. Terrain varied in elevation from sea level to mountains in excess of 8,000 feet.

“Raptor is every four-wheel-drive enthusiast’s dream of what a factory pickup truck should be,” said Douglas McColloch, Four Wheeler editor. “Straight off the showroom floor, Raptor comes equipped with all manner of premium performance parts that are designed for extreme off-pavement forays – be it rock crawling, mud bogging or desert racing. The Raptor undertakes these tasks without compromising the F-150 platform’s class-leading ride and handling characteristics on pavement. It inspires confidence in the dirt and delivers serenity on the street.

“All told,” McColloch added, “the Raptor 6.2 is a joy to drive, and a very deserving winner of our Pickup Truck of the Year competition.”

Since Raptor’s debut, customers have been asking for a SuperCrew version. They wanted even more utility added to its already impressive performance credentials. For 2011, Ford has answered the call with the introduction of the 2011 F-150 SVT Raptor SuperCrew. Customers have responded, with more than 2,700 orders placed for Raptor with the SuperCrew option.

More capability, more technologyFor 2011, the 6.2-liter V8 producing 411 horsepower and 434 lb.-ft. of torque comes standard. A larger 36-gallon fuel tank and increased towing capability – rated at 8,000 pounds – keep F-150 SVT Raptor SuperCrew a mainstay in the desert environment, with capabilities as a chase or tow truck. Upgraded content also includes a standard 4.2-inch LCD productivity screen and SelectShift Automatic™ transmission.

Raptor’s exterior also receives some new touches for 2011, in the form of an additional paint color – Ingot Silver Metallic. A new optional hood graphic adds a personalized and functional touch to F-150 SVT Raptor. Inspired by older off-road racing Ford Broncos, matte black accent graphics run along the hood.

The F-150 SVT Raptor was designed as a purpose-built, high-speed off-road truck ready for adventure, and it’s also versatile enough to handle the daily commute. Key enablers to the Raptor’s impressive performance are functional design cues and impressive suspension technology. Internal triple bypass shocks by FOX Racing Shox – the first on a production truck – provide position-sensitive damping and extra suspension travel for extreme off-roading and a smooth ride on the road.
